The South Tunnel Frame Bridge Project in the Conventional Speed Field of the Beijing-Shijiazhuang Passenger Dedicated Line Shijiazhuang Hub Renovation is located in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. Commissioned by China Railway Sixth Bureau Group Co., Ltd., the Group Company undertook the tasks of monitoring the deformation of existing railway facilities and the foundation pit for this project.
The initial data collection commenced on February 29, 2024, and monitoring concluded on January 17, 2025, spanning a total of 322 days (approximately 11 months). The monitoring scope included the foundation pit itself and the affected sections of the Beijing-Guangzhou Conventional Speed Railway. To avoid disrupting normal railway operations, an automated monitoring system was employed. This system comprised data acquisition, transmission, central control, processing, analysis, and management modules. It autonomously performed observation, recording, processing, storage, deformation report generation, and trend visualization without manual intervention.
Unlike conventional monitoring, railway operational line monitoring carries unique risks, as any dislodged equipment could pose significant safety hazards to train operations. During implementation, specialized fixed brackets were designed to securely install automatic total stations and reflective prisms, ensuring the stability and safety of monitoring devices. All project documentation has been submitted to the owner and successfully passed acceptance inspections.
